  • Relief valve (PRV)
  • Control valve
  • Ejector
  • Start up valve
  • Snort-valve
  • Flash and Blow Down Tanks

In order to choose the right silencer, it is essential to know the following noise and operating parameters:

  • Type of fluid
  • Type of operation: intermittent or continuous
  • Design and maximum flowrate
  • Valve set pressure and temperature
  • Pressure drop/backpressure
  • Pipe diameter and type of connection
  • Material specification
  • Silencer elevation
  • Required noise abatement

or

  • Residual sound pressure level and location of point of measure
